I’ve been using the keyboard for around two weeks and here are my thoughts about the keyboard, things I like and what could be improved if another version came out.

The keyboard is very robust and well built, it feel weighty and does not flex at all. It has a nice matte finish to the surface which keeps the keyboard fingerprint free, the cord is braided which split off into 3 separate leads (usb passthrough, microphone and headphone jack) and they branded on the ends with gamdias logos and small illustrations so you know what they are used for which is a nice feature. It also comes with a magnetized wrist rest which attaches very easily with no effort and also acts as a dust cover when not in use.

I bought the keyboard mainly for the extra macro keys around and below the arrow movement keys as it lets me assign extra key-binds in-game that I wouldn’t normally be able to do.

Things I love about the keyboard:
Wrist Rest / Dust Cover is amazing but could do with being a little smaller in height as it is really large and wont fit on some desks
Build Quality of the Keyboard is really good
Macro keys (especially the keys around and below the arrow movement keys)
    Braided Cord
Usb passthrough, microphone and headphone jacks
    Cherry mx switches

Things which could be improved in the next version which would make a really good keyboard a awesome keyboard:
    Longer braided cable
smaller wrist rest while still maintaining function as a dust cover (or just make it a lot smaller and throw in a separate dust cover)
gamdias element dampening for all the keys including numpad and macros keys
update software for windows 10 and fix some issues like assigning keys for quick launch does not work at all which is a real shame
RGB LED version of this keyboard would be amazing
3 more macro keys in the space below del, end, pgdown near the arrow movement keys (left handed players would really appreciate this!) 😉
Dedicated media and volume keys like those found on the Corsair K70

Overall I am very happy with my purchase and for the money I think it’s excellent value for all the features you get, I just wished I could have bought the cherry mx RED version of this keyboard instead, I could only get the mx blue version in my area 🙁

I would have given this keyboard 5 stars but I’m deducting a point for the issues I have with the software and quick launch function not working in windows 10. I think if they improve the software a little and add some more features, make it a little smaller it would match if not be better than Corsair’s K series keyboards. I cant get a better keyboard for the price in my opinion.

I think Michael nailed it, however I find the cable is long enough.

I also think the depress and satisfying sound of the browns is nice.

I agree on the point with Macro keys, but future generations appear to be moving away from additional macros. Seeing dedicated media, presented in a unique way (Like a clickable wheel would be nice)

Hera is a problem, but Gamdias is aware and seeking solutions from what I understand.

All in all, this is a solid keyboard, durable, comfortable, precise, and has nice features not often found for the $100 price range.

I love literally everything about this keyboard, except the fact that I have received two defective ones.

I bought this new from Newegg (twice). I love the thumb buttons, the macro controls, the large wrist rest, the high-quality build. I love the removable membrane added into the board to soften the hit of the keys. This keyboard really is a triumph of design for gamers. The extra thumb keys are fantastically useful.

So it is with a heavy heart that I have now had to return this keyboard twice. There seems to be a weird defect when it comes to holding down keys. If I were to hold down the “s” key, and then tap the “d” key while holding down “s”, you would expect the keyboard to output something like “ssssssssssssssdsssssssss”. And the Hermes Ultimate does this…but not for all keys. Example: On BOTH of my Hermes Ultimates, when I hold down the “e” key, and then tap the “r” key, it outputs “eeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr” instead of “eeeeeeeeeereeeeeeeee”. It’s maddening. It seems to affect about 10 keys in the middle of the keyboard, but none of the others. So instead of being able to walk forward in an FPS game and just tap A or D to slide left or right a bit, now I will suddenly start sliding right non-stop even though I only TAPPED the “d” key. Very frustrating.

I changed from 6-key to n-key rollover and back. I reset the internal memory through the Gamdias software. I even tried manually remapping the function of those keys through the software to try and stop this defective behavior. No luck. Whatever is wrong, it seems to be wrong at a physical manufacturing level.

I worked with both the keyboards for two weeks before giving up and sending them back to Newegg. I love your design and feature choices, and I want to support your company. I still do not have a new keyboard because I can’t find something as nice as the Hermes Ultimate. I just wish I could get one that works.
